Andrew Parasiliti has extensive work experience in various roles within the political and strategic fields. Andrew is currently serving as the President and Chief Content Officer at Al-Monitor since March 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Adjunct Political Scientist at RAND Corporation, where they also served as the Director of the Center for Global Risk and Security and Acting Director of the International Security and Defense Policy Center. From 2009 to 2012, Parasiliti worked as the Executive Director at the International Institute for Strategic Studies and also held the role of Corresponding Director at IISS-Middle East. Andrew worked as a Principal in Government Affairs at The BGR Group from 2005 to 2009 and as a Foreign Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel from 2001 to 2005. Parasiliti also served as the Director of the Middle East Initiative at Harvard University from 1999 to 2001 and as the Director of Programs at The Middle East Institute from 1996 to 1999.
Andrew Parasiliti completed their high school education at South Windsor High School, earning a High School Diploma in 1981. Andrew then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating cum laude in 1985. Following this, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, completing their studies in 1988. Lastly, Andrew Parasiliti enrolled in the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 1990 and earned a Ph.D. but did not specify the field of study.
