Jared Szuba

Jared Szuba is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in covering defense and military issues. Currently serving as the Pentagon Correspondent for Al-Monitor since May 2020, Szuba previously held the same title at The Defense Post from August 2019 to May 2020. Notably, Szuba also worked as the Editor for the English Edition at Al-Ahram Establishment from August 2017 to July 2018 and was a Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education in Foreign Language Area Studies from September 2016 to June 2017. Szuba's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, German, and Military Science from the University of Michigan, followed by a Master of Arts in Social Sciences with a focus on Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago. Additionally, Szuba holds an Arabic Language Certificate from the Qasid Arabic Institute as a Harvard CASA Fellow.
