Giulio Occhionero

Giulio Occhionero has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Giulio started their career at SIRE SpA in 2006, where they initially served as the Chairman of the Board and later became a Member of the Board until 2009. In 1998, they joined Westlands Securities as the Managing Director, a role they held for 20 years until 2018.

In 2018, Occhionero briefly worked at Credit Suisse as a Senior Developer, where they focused on C# development for the bank's proprietary data lake project. Giulio was responsible for implementing extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes to connect various data sources to the central repository.

From 2019 to 2021, Occhionero was employed at SHUAA Capital as a Quantitative Researcher and Developer. In this role, they specialized in systematic quantitative strategies for US equities and derivatives. Their work involved stochastic time-series analysis, probability models, and research on derivatives pricing and optimal-trade modeling.

Currently, Occhionero is working at Al Ramz PJSC as a Senior Vice President and Head of Robo and Algo Desk. Giulio is responsible for systematic trading, signal research, and bank automation. Their work involves quant research in equities and options, along with the development of robotics process automation (RPA) and trading algorithms.

Throughout their career, Occhionero has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as option pricing, hedging, Boltzmann equations, complex variables, and tensor calculus. Giulio is also proficient in programming languages such as C#, F#, and JavaScript.

Giulio Occhionero obtained a Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering - Applied Mathematics from Sapienza Università di Roma in the years 1989-1996. Giulio also completed their high school education in the field of scientific studies at Liceo Scientifico Amedeo Avogadro from 1984 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, Giulio Occhionero has obtained various certifications in areas such as Machine Learning, Generative AI, .NET programming, and Drone bootcamp training.
