Leigh Owen

Leigh Owen is a seasoned marketing professional and freelance editor with extensive experience in the arts and publishing industries. Currently serving as the Senior Marketing Manager at Alabama Shakespeare Festival since September 2021, Leigh has a rich history in various roles within the organization, including Marketing Manager and Box Office Manager. Leigh has also provided freelance editing, copyediting, and proofreading services for multiple clients, including Dragonfly Freelance and Sourcebooks Inc. Throughout a notable freelance career since 2005, Leigh has contributed to numerous projects involving novels, journal articles, and educational materials. Previous roles include Administrative Assistant and Media Support for Alabama Communities of Excellence, and Associate Editor at The Summerset Review. Leigh holds a B.A. in Communications from The University of Alabama, with a focus on Journalism and Creative Writing.
