Calandra Hawkins

Calandra Hawkins, Ed.D., is an experienced education professional currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Alabama since August 2021 and as an Education Administrator with the Alabama Department of Education since July 2021. Prior roles include serving as an Education Specialist for the Alabama State Department of Education from November 2019 to July 2021, School Principal in Montgomery County Public Schools from July 2014 to October 2019, and Assistant Principal in Elmore County Public Schools from July 2011 to July 2014. Calandra began a career in education as a School Counselor in Montgomery County Public Schools from July 2006 to July 2011. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Policy and Law from Alabama State University and multiple degrees from Auburn University at Montgomery, encompassing educational leadership, special education, and counseling.
