Water Use Efficiency Specialist at Alameda County Water District

Gisselle D. is a Water Use Efficiency Specialist at Alameda County Water District since October 2020, with previous experience as a Climate Action and Education Intern at Santa Clara University from April 2017 to March 2020, where Gisselle coordinated the first Sustainability Strategic Plan and contributed to the annual STARS report. Gisselle also served as a LEAD Peer Mentor, supporting first-generation college students. In the summer of 2019, Gisselle interned in Sustainability and Environmental Policy at San Francisco International Airport, enhancing the food donation program. A summer internship at the Joint BioEnergy Institute involved analyzing cellulose-degrading bacteria for biofuel production. Gisselle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies with a Green Business Concentration and Economics from Santa Clara University.
