Megan Maurino is currently a Water Utility Leadership Fellow at The Center For Water Security and Cooperation and has been serving as a Water Use Efficiency Specialist II at the Alameda County Water District since October 2017. Previous experience includes participation in the Water Leader Class of 2019 with the Water Education Foundation and conducting environmental research at Area West Environmental, Inc. Megan's background in water conservation began as an intern at the Alameda County Water District, where responsibilities included engineering tasks. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Conservation and Resource Studies with a focus on Water Resource and Management, along with a minor in Forestry, Geographical Information Systems and Technology, and Dance, all obtained from the University of California, Berkeley. Notably, Megan secured $11,380 in grant funding to enhance UC Berkeley's irrigation system by installing advanced technology for efficient water use.
