Evan Rusoja has a diverse range of work experience, including roles in the healthcare industry and in education. Starting in 2022, Evan became a Board Member at Alameda Health Medical Group. Prior to that, from 2020 to the present, Evan held multiple roles at Alameda Health System, including Emergency Medicine Physician, Medical Director of Acute Care Health Outcomes, and Quality and Safety Innovations Fellow. From 2016 to 2020, Evan worked at the Highland Emergency Medicine Residency Program as a Chief Resident and Resident Physician. Evan also has experience as a Co-Founder and Board President at Empowerment Health from 2008 to 2020. Other roles include an Admissions Expert at inGenius prep from 2013 to 2017 and Founder and Director of the Arancibia Fellowship from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Evan worked as a Development and Program Officer at Global Health through Education, Training and Service in 2006 and as a Barbara Jordan Health Policy Scholar at the Kaiser Family Foundation in 2006.
Evan Rusoja first attended Northfield Mount Hermon School from 1998 to 2002, where they completed their high school education. Evan then went on to study at Brown University from 2002 to 2006, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience. In 2005-2006, they participated in a study abroad program at the University of Cape Town. Evan continued their education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2007 to 2016, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. At the same time, they also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Public Health/International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
