Jonathan Su

Jonathan Su has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Jonathan'smost recent role was as a Legal Affairs Specialist at Alameda Health System, where they began in January 2023. Prior to that, Jonathan worked as the Director at Mandarin Academy from June 2018 to the present. In this role, they collaborated with the board of directors and legal counsel to ensure legal compliance and reviewed and negotiated contracts. Jonathan also updated school policies and resolved issues between parents and staff. Before their director position, Jonathan was a Math and English Teacher at Mandarin Academy from August 2018 to June 2020, where they contributed to the expansion of the curriculum and had a high success rate for students in assessments and entrance exams.

Jonathan has also gained legal experience through internships at Alameda Health System and the University of California, San Francisco. At Alameda Health System, they researched and provided recommendations on legal questions, reviewed contracts, and updated agreements. While interning at the University of California, San Francisco, Jonathan negotiated agreements with external organizations and executed multiple contracts.

Additionally, Jonathan has interned as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable L. Michael Clark at the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. In this role, they reviewed and edited articles, conducted legal research, and assessed the court website.

At the beginning of their career, Jonathan worked at Mandarin Academy as an Assistant Teacher, Acting Substitute, and Science, Math & English Tutor from August 2010 to June 2016. Jonathan assisted with various tasks including leading classes, tutoring, assessments, and student learning schedules. Furthermore, Jonathan gained lab experience as a Lab Assistant at BioPharmX, where they participated in setting up a biology laboratory, handled cell cultures, and maintained lab protocols.

Jonathan Su started their education at Cupertino High School, where they earned their High School Diploma from 2010 to 2014. Following that, they attended De Anza College from 2014 to 2016 and studied Biology/Biological Sciences, General. From 2016 to 2018, they enrolled at UC San Diego, focusing on Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, Jonathan is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of California, College of the Law in San Francisco.
