Rachael Silverman is a highly experienced mental health and trauma consultant with a focus on supporting children, families, and educators. Currently serving as a TraCS trauma consultant at the Alannah & Madeline Foundation since May 2021, Rachael provides assistance to early childhood educators in addressing trauma behaviors and fostering secure relationships for young children affected by violence and neglect. At Woodman's Hill Secondary College, Rachael has been a Mental Health Practitioner since November 2020, offering counseling and group programs that emphasize wellbeing and support for high school students dealing with trauma and LGBTQIA+ issues. Rachael's previous roles include Family Relationship Practitioner at Cafs, Foster Care Practitioner at Blossomtree, and Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault, along with multiple positions within Child and Family Services, focusing on vulnerable families and the adoption process. Rachael holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Rural Social Welfare from Federation University Australia.
