Steve Gattuso

Steve Gattuso has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Steve started their career in 2012 as a Web Developer at the University of Rochester where they worked on various projects for the public website and intranet. In 2013, they founded Vesto Consulting, a company that helps clients establish and grow their online presence. During their time at Vesto Consulting, Steve worked on a wide range of projects, including full-stack web apps, cross-platform mobile apps, and e-commerce sites.

In 2014, Steve worked as an iOS Engineering Intern at Weebly, where they contributed to the development of upcoming products on the iOS platform. Steve also worked on features for the Weebly platform using PHP, MySQL, and Backbone/Marionette.

Steve joined Matchbook in 2013 as the Archduke of Web Engineering via hackNY summer fellowship. In this role, they implemented website designs and functionality using Rails and developed a mobile-optimized homepage.

In 2016, Steve joined Weebly again, this time as a Software Engineer. Steve worked on Weebly Promote, a marketing tool that automates brand promotion for users without technical knowledge. Steve built various features and systems for Promote using Backbone and PHP/Laravel.

From 2018 to 2019, Steve worked at ConsenSys as a Senior Software Engineer in the Token Foundry team and later as the Tech Lead of Alpine. Steve was involved in customer and product development, handling the complete product lifecycle and building the most used Token Curated Registry dApp.

Steve took an educational sabbatical at Recurse Center in 2019 to work on personal projects and learn new skills. During this time, they built a location monitoring system using a Swift app and PostGIS database.

In 2019, Steve joined Amperon as the first engineering hire and later became the Engineering Manager. Steve was responsible for building and managing the customer-facing platform, working across the stack to ensure customers have efficient access to data.

Currently, in 2023, Steve is a Senior Software Engineer at Alasco, where they continue to contribute their expertise in software development.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated their ability to tackle challenging projects, work with various technologies and platforms, and take on leadership roles.

Steve Gattuso has obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. Steve has also studied Informática at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. However, specific start and end years for these educational experiences are not provided.
