Dave Mets has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as Vice President of Flight Operations at Alaska Airlines since 1999, following a progression that includes the role of Director and Base Chief Pilot in Seattle. Prior to their tenure at Alaska Airlines, Dave Mets served as a C-17 Pilot in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from May 1999 until May 2014, achieving the rank of Retired. Dave Mets holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Aeronautical Science and Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
