Joshua Arvidson

Chief Operating Officer at Alaska Behavioral Health

Joshua Arvidson has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and child trauma. Joshua has served as the Chief Operating Officer at Alaska Behavioral Health since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Clinical Officer for Child and Family Services at the same organization from November 2020 to May 2022. Joshua also held the position of Director for Child and Family Services and Alaska Child Trauma Center from December 2002 to November 2020. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member for FOCUS since January 2005. Joshua was a Steering Committee Member for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network from March 2016 to November 2020. Joshua has also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Alaska Anchorage from February 2007 to June 2017. Prior to their work at Alaska Behavioral Health, they served as a Clinician at Holy Redeemer Health System from June 2000 to December 2002. Joshua has also been a part of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Child and Adolescent Trauma since June 2018.

Joshua Arvidson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at Linfield University from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on Clinical/Medical Social Work at Bryn Mawr College from 1998 to 2000.
