Carter Gawron

Carter Gawron is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and cloud infrastructure management. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Alation since January 2023, Carter oversees the Cloud Foundation, which encompasses Data Infrastructure, App Infrastructure, Async Infrastructure, Onboarding, and Developer Productivity. Prior roles include Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager at D2iQ, managing multiple teams focused on Developer Productivity, Quality, Data Management, and Machine Learning Platform technologies. Carter's background also includes positions at Mesosphere, Infor, Birst, Twitter, Symantec, Redback Networks - Ericsson, Taos, and Chroma Graphics, contributing to operations, system administration, and engineering management across various domains.
