Melinda Lackey

Melinda Lackey has a diverse work experience in the legal and research fields. Melinda is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Legal & Administration at Alaunos Therapeutics since November 2021. Before that, they were a Counsel at Hogan Lovells from August 2021 to November 2021. From June 2018 to August 2021, Melinda worked at Kuur Therapeutics as a Legal Counsel and later as a Senior Legal Counsel. Melinda started their career as an Associate at Winston & Strawn LLP in March 2011 and stayed there until June 2018. Prior to that, they were an Associate at Howrey LLP from 2008 to 2011. Melinda also gained experience as a Summer Associate at Fletcher Yoder in 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research Associate at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 2005 to 2007 and as a Research Technician at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2003 to 2004.

Melinda Lackey obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Houston Law Center in the years 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center between 1999 and 2003. Melinda'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology from Texas Tech University, which they completed from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, Melinda Lackey holds a certification as a Patent Attorney from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
