Ameet Rai

Ameet Rai is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently employed at AESO since May 2016. In this role, Ameet gained expertise in the Alberta Interconnected Electric System and simulation tools used in the Power Industry, while also developing a Python program for automating IDEV file outputs. Prior to AESO, Ameet held positions at Suncor Energy as a Control Systems Co-op Student, where responsibilities included process control optimization and creating equipment strategy data sheets, and at ATCO Electric as an Electrical Engineering Intern, providing support in project design and cost estimation. Ameet began an engineering career as a summer intern at Teck Resources Limited, focusing on automating monthly reports and creating project management flowcharts. Ameet holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
