Marie-France Samaroden

Marie-France Samaroden is an experienced professional in the engineering and operations sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Grid Reliability Operations at AESO since November 2019. Previously, Marie-France held various leadership roles at AltaLink from December 2001 to November 2019, including Director of Corporate Operations and Director of Engineering, where significant cost savings and operational efficiencies were achieved. Marie-France's career also includes roles in project engineering and system operation at TransAlta and United Way of Calgary and Area. With a solid educational foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan, Marie-France has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing complex engineering projects and teams.
