Nicole LeBlanc

Nicole LeBlanc is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Vice President of Markets at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) since September 2014, where leadership is provided across markets, forecasting, analytics, and commercial departments. Previous roles at AESO include Director of Markets & Tariff and Director of Analytics & Forecasting, focusing on market pricing efficiency and comprehensive forecasting. LeBlanc also has experience managing market analytics and forecasting teams, and earlier worked as an Economist at the Canadian Energy Research Institute, where energy research projects were led and expertise in the oil and gas industry was developed. LeBlanc holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics, both from the University of Calgary.
