Vernon Mravinec

Vernon Mravinec is a seasoned professional in power systems operations with extensive experience spanning roles in various companies since 1999. Currently serving as a Senior Power System Controller at AESO since September 2016, Vernon previously held the position of Power Systems Operations Specialist at Manitoba Hydro International, where coaching and operational improvement recommendations were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes managing the SaskPower Bulk Electrical System as the Manager of Grid Operations and working as a System Operator at Manitoba Hydro, focusing on equipment maintenance and real-time operations. Vernon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Calculus from the University of Manitoba, a Trade Certificate in Power Electrician from RRC Polytech, and a diploma from Lorette Collegiate Institute.
