Michelle Vanderwal

Michelle Vanderwal possesses extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as the Director of People Services at Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) since April 2016. Prior roles within AER include Senior Advisor and HR Business Partner. Michelle's prior experience spans several organizations, including Encana, where responsibilities as a Senior HR Advisor involved supporting over 450 employees in various HR functions, and Deloitte, providing strategic HR expertise across six Western region offices. Michelle has also held HR management positions at Collins Barrow LLP, TJX Canada, and Rogers Video, accumulating a wealth of knowledge in employee development, performance management, and organizational strategy. Academically, Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources and a Certificate in Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University.
