Al Sonnichsen

Al Sonnichsen is an experienced IT professional currently serving as IT Director for Data Engineering & Analytics at Albertsons Companies since February 2016. With a solid background in Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI), Al transitioned from a role as Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Information Architecture to manage teams overseeing EBI infrastructure and data architecture, as well as driving the EBI Technology roadmap. Prior to Albertsons, Al held key positions at Safeway, including Director of BI Information Architecture, where strategic architecture development and team management were central responsibilities. Al's career began in various analytical roles at Safeway, including Financial System Analyst and Business Analyst, leading to notable contributions in business intelligence solutions and executive reporting systems. Al holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems from Northern Arizona University.
