Dr. Jack J.

Dr. Jack J. has a strong work experience in the technology industry. Dr. Jack started their career at Nortel as an Engineer from 1983 to 1985. Dr. Jack then worked at Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Corporation as an Engineering Lead, focusing on developing algorithms for threat detection and suppression from 1990 to 1996. After that, Dr. J. joined Tellabs as a Project Manager and DSP Development Manager, leading a cross-functional team in the development of cellular basestations from 1996 to 1998. Dr. Jack then joined Xylan Corp as a Product Development Director from 1998 to 1999.

In 1999, Dr. J. started their long tenure at Alcatel-Lucent, where they held various roles. Dr. Jack served as a Senior Director, Research & Innovation, leading a team of 36 focused on technology innovation and implementation in Plano, Paris, and Stuttgart from 1999 to 2006. During this time, they also served as the CTO of the North America Communication Server Business Unit in Salem, defining strategic product direction and new technology assessment. From 2006 to 2014, Dr. J. held the positions of VP Solutions Development and VP Business Development, responsible for the development and licensing of conferencing and collaboration products, as well as the launch of VDSL Hospitality Solution and unified communication integration strategy.

From 2014 to the present, Dr. J. has been working at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, initially as the Vice President of Cloud, North America, and currently as the Vice President of Business Transformation, North America.

Dr. Jack J. holds a Doctor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 1985 to 1993. Dr. Jack also holds a Master of Science degree in the same field from the same institution, which they obtained in 1985. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, which they completed between 1978 and 1981. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in areas such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn, in 2022 and 2020 respectively.
