Alan Phua has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2015, they co-founded and became the CEO of Alchemy Foodtech Pte. Ltd., a company focused on combating the global diabetes epidemic. Alan also served as a Steering Committee Member for the SMFy Group at the Singapore Manufacturing Federation from 2014 to 2020. In 2010, Alan co-founded Soyato Foods International Pte. Ltd., where they served as the Executive Director until their exit in 2017. Alan played a crucial role in providing ice cream products that do not induce weight gain. Additionally, Alan was a Steering Committee Member for the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) from 2012 to 2014. Alan's most recent work experience is as an Unreasonable Fellow at Unreasonable, a group that supports entrepreneurs addressing global challenges by connecting them with investors and institutions.
Alan Phua attended Singapore Management University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance and Management (Entrepreneurship). Prior to that, they studied at Nanyang Polytechnic from 2001 to 2004, obtaining a degree in Business Management with a specialization in Banking & Financial Management. Alan also attended Zhonghua Secondary School, although the specific dates and degrees obtained there are unknown. In 2016, they obtained a certification in Refining Business Innovation from SMU - Singapore Management University, under the instruction of Dr Eugene Shteyn, who is a lecturer in the Stanford University Continuing Studies Program.
