Mitchell Shultz, MD, FAAO

Mitchell Shultz, MD, FAAO has extensive work experience in the field of ophthalmology. Mitchell started their career as a Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon at Mitchell C. Shultz, M.D. in 1997. In 1997, they also became the Medical Director at Shultz Chang Vision. Mitchell joined FREEDOM VISION SURGERY CENTER as a Partner in 2009.

In 2007, Dr. Shultz became a Peer Review Section Editor at CRST Editorial Board. In 2012, they started working as a Consultant & Investigator at Bausch + Lomb, and in 2016, they took on the same role at Glaukos Corporation. In 2018, they became a Consultant at ZEISS Ophthalmic USA.

Dr. Shultz's latest work experience is at Alchemy Vision, where they are a Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer since May 2020. Mitchell'sdiverse roles and extensive experience in the ophthalmology field make him a valuable asset in their current position.

Dr. Mitchell Shultz obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from UC San Diego in 1988. Mitchell then attended New York Medical College from 1988 to 1992, where they received their M.D. degree. Following this, they pursued a medical residency program in General Certificates at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 1992 to 1993. Dr. Shultz then completed an Ophthalmology Residency Program at UC Irvine from 1993 to 1996, earning their Doctor of Medicine degree in that field.
