Brian Zukas

Brian Zukas is a highly experienced Senior Smelting R&D Engineer and Electrolysis Engineer at Alcoa since October 2018. Prior to this role, Brian served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire from January 2013 to May 2018, where significant contributions included the design of a novel interphase droplet flow reactor for metal oxide nanoparticle synthesis and the characterization of nanomaterials. Earlier professional experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Superior Controls, conducting critical equipment evaluations for the biopharmaceutical sector, and an internship at Dow focusing on process control and procedural documentation. Brian holds a PhD and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field, all from the University of New Hampshire.
