Clark Needham

Clark Needham is a seasoned professional in the field of bioengineering and manufacturing engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Alcon since March 2014. In this role, Clark oversees approximately 40 engineers and technicians, focusing on manufacturing project execution, engineering support, and maintenance, while managing both new and existing automated equipment projects. Prior to this position, Clark held roles as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and a Bioengineering Intern at AlphaDev, LLC. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University and a BS in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Clark’s extensive research experience culminated in a doctoral thesis on non-viral gene delivery for osteochondral regeneration, showcasing a strong foundation in both engineering practices and biomedical applications.
