Marcie Strahan, Ed.D. has extensive work experience in the education field. Marcie began their career as a Teacher in LONGVIEW ISD from 1995 to 1998. Marcie then joined Aldine ISD as a Teacher in 1998 and later worked as a Counselor from 1999 to 2013. Marcie then took on the role of Assistant Principal from 2013 to 2018 before becoming the Principal from 2018 to 2021. Marcie then transitioned to the role of Director of Social Emotional Learning and Culture in Aldine ISD from 2021 to 2022, and is currently serving as the Executive Director of Social and Emotional Learning and Culture.
Marcie Strahan, Ed.D. received their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Sam Houston State University in 2001. In 1998, Marcie completed their Master of Education (MEd) in Health and Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Tyler. Marcie'seducation journey started with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Special Education and Kinesiology from Jarvis Christian University in 1995.
