Michael Schyman

Michael Schyman has a diverse work history spanning multiple industries. Michael currently serves as a member of the Institutional Advisory Council at the Higher Learning Commission, where they conduct accreditation reviews and recommendations. Prior to this role, Schyman held various positions at Aldridge Electric, including Chief Financial Officer and Director of Treasury. Michael also served as a Commissioner for the Northbrook Park District, where they were elected for four consecutive terms and held leadership positions. Schyman has previous experience at ComEd as a Senior Manager and Manager in various departments, and at Exelon Corp. as a Principal Treasury Analyst and Executive Assistant to the President of Exelon Business Services Co. Michael began their career as an Engineer at Peoples Gas.

Michael Schyman has an MBA degree in Finance, Management & Strategy from the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. Michael has also obtained a certification as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) from CFMA in October 2021. Furthermore, they have received a Master Board Member certification from the Illinois Association of Park Districts. Finally, Michael has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Harrison Street University.
