Chief People Officer at Alector

Clare Hunt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Clare started their career at Bain & Company as a Senior Associate Consultant in 2005 and worked there until 2008. In 2009, they joined TechnoServe as a Consultant for a few months before taking on the role of Senior Project Manager at KOMAZA. In 2011, Clare had brief internships at Acumen Fund and Origin Energy before returning to Bain & Company as a Case Team Leader from 2013 to 2016.

In 2012, Clare founded Aretan Coaching, where they served as a Certified Professional Coach until 2014. Clare then transitioned to GSB 2012 Racial Justice Task Forces in 2020, where they co-led the People & Culture Task Force. In the same year, they joined Alector and worked as the Head of People until 2020, followed by the role of Vice President, People until October 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief People Officer at Alector from October 2022 onwards.

Clare Hunt completed their education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2010 to 2012, where they earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. During their time there, they also obtained a Public Management Certificate in the field of Business. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, Clare attended Princeton University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations. Clare also earned certificates in Political Economy and Environmental Studies during their time at Princeton.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Clare obtained certification in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) from CPP in September 2013. Clare is also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), although the exact month of their certification is not specified.
