Jiqing (Jacqueline) Zhu is a Genomic Data Scientist at Alector since July 2022, specializing in novel target discovery. Previously, as a Bioinformatic Analyst Intern at Mass. Eye and Ear, Jiqing filtered and integrated single-cell RNA-seq datasets and created an interactive web application for gene expression visualization. Jiqing has also worked as a Data Analyst at Thryve Inside, where a cloud database for customer data was designed and machine learning methods were developed to identify disease-related gut microbiomes. Earlier experience includes research at Wake Forest University in both biophysics and organic chemistry, along with internships at MGI and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Jiqing holds a Master of Science in Computational Biology from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biophysics from Wake Forest University.
