Jorge M.

Jorge M. has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, spanning over two decades. Jorge began their career in 2000 at Arcturus Bioscience as an Engineering Research Associate. Jorge then worked at SurroMed as an Engineering Associate II and Research Associate III. In 2005, Jorge joined Amgen (formerly Abgenix) as a Sr. Process Development Associate. Jorge then moved to OncoMed Pharmaceuticals in 2007, initially as a Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist II and PD Group Leader. From 2013 to 2015, Jorge worked at Igenica Biotherapeutics, Inc. as a Sr. Engineer. Jorge returned to OncoMed Pharmaceuticals in 2015 as a Senior Scientist II and PD Group Leader before transitioning to AbbVie in 2017 as a Senior Scientist II. Most recently, Jorge has been with Alector since 2019, serving as the Associate Director and Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Downstream Process Development.

Jorge M. pursued their education from 2000 to 2002 at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During this time, they obtained a degree in MCD Engineering with a focus on Molecular Biology and Engineering.
