Doug Fairchild, P.Eng, is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in distribution design and system planning. Currently serving as Vice President of Distribution Design at Alectra since February 2017, Doug leads a dedicated team focused on connecting communities. Prior to this role, Doug held the position of Director of Distribution Design at PowerStream Inc. since November 2009, overseeing a team of 55 professionals responsible for designing projects for various customer types. Doug's background includes key roles such as Manager of System Planning & Standards at Hydro One and Network Management Engineer at Barrie Hydro Distribution Inc. Doug holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lakehead University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Georgian College.
