Colin Dowling has a long and varied career in sales and marketing. Colin began their career as a staff writer for Footballguys.com in 2003. In 2007, they took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for The Roby Institute. From 2008-2013, they were the Director of Sales and Business Development and Co-Founder of Signature Electronics, where they led the sales strategy from origination to $5M annual sales revenue with no outside funding. In 2013, they became the Vice President of Sales at ISON, where they developed and executed the company's first go-to-market plan, taking the eight-year-old IT provider from flat revenue to 40% YoY growth. From 2014-2017, they were the Vice President - Channel Sales and Partner Solutions at Liquid Web, responsible for Channel and Partner sales and marketing funnels including reseller, affiliate, and Agency partnerships. In 2018, they founded RAINCLOUD, providing business development, sales, and marketing solutions for businesses looking to ignite and sustain growth. Colin also took on the role of Acting Chief Revenue Officer at Perfect Dashboard, leading the company on all Revenue related activities including sales, marketing, and development of a pipeline process. The company was acquired by WP Engine in Spring 2019. In 2015, they became the Vice President of Global Sales at Media Temple, where they owned gross sales and net revenue generation for the $70M hosting business. Currently, they are the VP of Sales and Marketing and Head of Demand Generation at Alembic Technologies, Inc.
Colin Dowling attended John Cooper School from 1989 to 1995. Colin then went on to pursue a B.A. in Political Science at Southwestern University from 1995 to 1999. Colin has also obtained a certification as a Planetary Defender from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration in September 2022.
