Barbara Birnie

Barbara Birnie is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, particularly in People and Culture management. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at ALEX-BEGG GROUP since July 2017, Barbara has also held positions as HR Manager and Director of People & Culture within the same organization. Prior experience includes HR Consultant roles at ACCA and Franklin Templeton Investments, as well as HR Business Partner roles at Heineken UK and University of Technology Sydney. Barbara's career began as a Human Resources Advisor at John Wiley & Sons Ltd. Academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MSc in Human Resource Management from Strathclyde University.
