Technical Business Analyst ETL at Alex Solutions

Waqar Arshad has extensive work experience in various technical and analytical roles. Waqar currently works as a Technical Business Analyst at Alex Solutions since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Kyndryl as an Application Consultant and Data Engineer from April 2022 to November 2022. In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing data warehouse systems. Waqar also worked on the HWSW Currency Management System, gathering requirements and interacting with business owners.

Before Kyndryl, Waqar worked at IBM from 2019 to 2021. At IBM, they held multiple roles, including IBM HWSW and AMS Jazz Analytics Project roles. In these positions, they were involved in data migration, ETL development, and providing support for data warehouse operations using tools like InfoSphere DataStage and Informatica PowerCenter.

Prior to IBM, Waqar worked at Info Matrix as a BI Engineer, where they created dashboards for business stakeholders. Waqar also gained experience in database development and software development as a Junior Database Developer and Software Development Intern at Harmony Technologies.

Waqar Arshad completed their Bachelor of Computer Science (BSCS) from the National University of Modern Languages, where they studied Computer Science from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended PCIT Islamabad from 2011 to 2012, where they pursued Pre-Engineering in their FSC degree. Before that, from 2009 to 2010, Waqar attended Islamabad Model Collage for Boys F8/4 Islamabad and completed their Matric degree, focusing on Science.

In addition to their formal education, Waqar has obtained several certifications. These include becoming a Google Associate Cloud Engineer in August 2022, receiving the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification in April 2022, and becoming an Agile Explorer through Kyndryl in January 2022. Waqar also holds certifications such as IBM Db2 for LUW V11.x Foundations (from IBM, May 2021), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (from Microsoft, April 2021), and Data Science Methodologies (from IBM, August 2020). Furthermore, they have acquired various other certifications from institutions like IBM, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and Coursera, which cover cloud computing, automation, database management, and other related areas.
