Michala Grønkjær

Michala Grønkjær has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Michala is currently working at Alexander Wang LLC as a Designer, specializing in ready-to-wear structured wovens. Prior to this, they worked at GRØNKJÆR as a Designer and Founder, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills. Michala also gained experience as an Associate Designer at Alexander Wang LLC before their current role. Additionally, Michala worked as a Designer at 7 DAYS, where they led the design process for the SS22 and AW22 show collections. At Yeezy, they contributed as a Design Assistant. Michala's skills extend to technical design and product development, which they gained while working at DONNI. Michala has also worked as a Freelance Fashion Designer at SCI-Arc and as a Freelance Designer at Sami Miro Vintage. Michala has experience in visual merchandising and sales through their role at Acne Studios AB. Michala further developed their design skills at Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui, where they worked as a Design RTW and in the Sample Room, respectively. Michala Grønkjær's education history is as follows:

From 2012 to 2018, they attended The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK), where they pursued a degree in Fashion Design with a focus on Fashion/Textile.

In 2014 and 2015, they participated in an exchange program at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague | Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK) in the field of Fashion.

From 2010 to 2012, they studied Pattern making/sewing at Fashion Design Akademiet.

In 2010, they briefly attended Krabbesholm Højskole, where they studied Design.
