Derek Welcome

Derek Welcome is a multifaceted professional currently serving as a Chef at ZUMA Restaurants since November 2021, while also acting as a Vendor for Alexandria Moulding since April 2020. In addition to culinary and vendor roles, Derek has been contributing to DigBoston as a Writer and Marketing Intern since May 2019, focusing on coverage of local news, arts, and culture in the Boston area. Previous experience includes a Marketing Internship at ScholarJet, where contributions aimed at creating a more equitable future for career development were made. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Suffolk University (2020-2022), a Bachelor of Science from Framingham State University (2016-2018), and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Financial Management Services from Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business (2013-2016).
