Danielle Stimmell

Danielle Stimmell is an experienced occupational therapist currently employed at Alexian Brothers since August 2022, managing a caseload of 12-17 patients with various diagnoses, including stroke and traumatic brain injury, while also being cross-trained in inpatient rehabilitation and Med Surg settings. Prior to this role, Danielle worked at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, conducting evidence-based assessments and creating progress notes for patients with diverse conditions. During the capstone experience at BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding & Educational Center, programming was developed to enhance social participation for veterans. Further experience includes providing therapy in school and clinical settings, conducting in-services on innovative therapy approaches, and working as a Registered Behavior Technician with children. Danielle holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from Northern Illinois University.
