Imre Bartos is an accomplished academic and technology leader with a focus on astrophysics, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Florida since August 2017. Bartos also holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Fire Neural Network, a role initiated in April 2021. In addition, Bartos is a Sloan Research Fellow at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation since September 2020. Previously, Bartos was involved with the New York Hungarian Scientific Society as President and Vice President from January 2015 to October 2019. Prior to the University of Florida, Bartos contributed at Columbia University in various capacities, including Associate Research Scientist and Lecturer in Discipline from July 2012 to August 2017, and further as Research Assistant and Teaching Fellow from 2007 to 2012. Bartos obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics from Columbia University in 2012, following a Master of Science in Physics from Lorand Eotvos University in 2006.
