Christopher Janzen is the Senior Vice President, Academic at Algonquin College. Christopher has previously served as the Borough Council President of New Berlin and as a professor in the Department of Chemistry at Susquehanna University. Christopher also worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health and as a summer student at 3M.
Janzen has played an integral role in the success of each of their previous positions. As the Borough Council President of New Berlin, they were responsible for all aspects of governance of the borough. Under their leadership, the department of chemistry at Susquehanna University went through a complete re-invention, including the hiring of all current faculty, designing and building a new building, modernizing and expanding instrument holdings, and increasing the publication rate dramatically. As a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health, they conducted groundbreaking research that led to several publications in prestigious journals.
Janzen is a highly accomplished individual with a proven track record of success in various roles. Christopher is an effective leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Christopher Janzen received their PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and their BA in Chemistry from Hamline University.
