Eric Marois

Dean, School of Advanced Technology at Algonquin College

Eric Marois is currently the Dean of the School of Advanced Technology at Algonquin College. Prior to this, they held the position of Academic Director of the Institute of Technology at Collège La Cité. In this role, they provided academic leadership of faculty, support staff and students in the area of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, tools making, precision machining, carpentry, automotive repair and maintenance, heating, refrigeration and cooling, masonry, plumbing and welding. Eric also led the planning, administration, recruitment and delivery of the apprenticeship programs: Electrician (construction and maintenance), hairstylist, carpenter, automotive service technician, truck and coach, general machinist, plumber and welding.

Eric Marois has been working in the field of education for over 20 years. Eric began their career as a teacher in the Adult Education sector before moving into administration. Eric has held various positions at Collège La Cité including Acting Director for the Trade Institute and Academic Director of the Institute of Technology. In these roles, they have been responsible for providing academic leadership and direction to faculty, staff and students. Eric has also been actively involved in the planning and delivery of apprenticeship programs in various trades.

Eric Marois has a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Policy from St. Francis Xavier University, a Master of Engringgeing Management from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada.
