Dr. Cecilia Crear

Cecilia Crear Ed.D has extensive experience in the education sector. Cecilia is currently serving as the Chief of Schools at Alief ISD since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Area Superintendent at Alief ISD from July 2021 to June 2023. Cecilia also has experience as the Executive Director of Secondary Schools at FBISD from July 2019 to July 2021 and as the Executive Principal at Fort Bend ISD from July 2018 to June 2019. Cecilia served as the Principal of George Bush High School from July 2012 to June 2018. Cecilia started their career in education as an Assistant Principal at Alief ISD from June 2002 to June 2007, and later became the Associate Principal of Instruction from June 2007 to July 2012.

Cecilia Crear Ed.D holds an Educational Doctorate in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston, which they completed in 2013. Cecilia also has a Master's in Education from Prairie View A&M University, obtained between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, completing their studies between 1991 and 1995.
