Joon Kim

Joon Kim is an accomplished footwear design professional with extensive experience in leading innovative projects across various companies. Currently serving as the Head of Footwear Design at Alife® since January 2024, Joon has previously worked as a Footwear Innovation Designer at Descente Korea from October 2022 to December 2023. Joon's background includes roles such as Head of NPD and NPD Manager at Socialbean and Design Project Manager at Playlab. Academic contributions include teaching positions at Konkuk University and Dongseo University. Joon holds a PhD in Design from Konkuk University, an MA in Design from Northumbria University, and a BA in Industrial and Product Design from Konkuk University. The design expertise is further enriched by co-founding JoonenJune design and an internship at McKinsey & Company, specializing in industrial design.
