Michael Leist

Michael Leist has extensive experience in finance and strategic management, currently serving as the General Manager Finance at Alinta Energy since July 2019, overseeing procurement, financial planning and analysis, external reporting, and process improvement. Prior roles include General Manager for Group Strategy and M&A, and General Manager for Group Financial Control at Broadspectrum from October 2013 to July 2019. Michael Leist has also contributed as the Group FP&A Manager at BHP Billiton and as a Senior Financial Analyst at PwC. Michael's career began as an Accountant in Audit and Assurance at Nexia Australia. Michael Leist is a Chartered Accountant, having completed qualifications through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand between 2007 and 2009.
