Johan von Tangen Sivertsen

Johan von Tangen Sivertsen is an accomplished developer with experience in software engineering and research, currently working at Alipes ApS since September 2020. Prior to this, Johan held developer positions at Edlund A/S, contributing to a probability calculation engine for Danish pension providers, and has a robust academic background including a postdoctoral researcher role at IT-Universitetet i København, where Johan lectured on algorithms and relational databases. Johan earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science focusing on similarity problems in high dimensions and has also gained experience as a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University. With additional consultancy and development experience across various roles, including agile C# development and business intelligence, Johan possesses a strong foundation in quantitative methods and data-driven solutions, underscored by a diverse educational background in computer science, political science, and physics.
