Alex Shootman

Alex joined Alkami in 2021 as the CEO and member of the Board of Directors. He brings a lifelong career of helping companies transform through innovation and a strong belief in culture as a competitive advantage.

A proven veteran in building and scaling enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, Alex most recently served as the CEO of Workfront, prior to Adobe’s acquisition of the company in December 2020. Prior to joining Workfront, Alex was President of Apptio and before that, he was President of Eloqua and a member of the team that helped bring Eloqua to a successful public offering and acquisition by Oracle. Alex has also held executive-level positions with Vignette, TeleTech, BMC Software and IBM.

An active volunteer, Alex currently serves as Board Chair of The Refuge Ranch, a residential, therapeutic community for girls, ages 14 through 19 who have been recovered from sex traffickers. He also serves on the board of the Women’s Leadership Institute in Salt Lake City and has served on the board of Eden Reforestation, the leading reforestation organization on the planet.

He is a published author who, in his spare time, can be found on a road bike or running trail or admiring the view on a reef in his home state of Hawaii.
