Shaival Shah

Shaival Shah has a diverse work experience in various software engineering and data-related roles. Shaival is currently working at Alkira, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they design and develops critical routing features while optimizing the system for improved response time. Shaival also adds proprietary features to enhance tag-based routing capabilities. Prior to Alkira, Shah was a Software Engineer Co-Op at the same company.

In 2020, Shah worked at VMware as an Intern - Member of Technical Staff- Engineering Operations, where they developed a pipeline using Python and various tools to extract and analyze test results data. Shaival successfully conducted an analysis that helped reduce triage time and identified workloads most likely to fail.

Before that, Shah was a Data Engineer at North Carolina State University, where they created a Python data pipeline to extract and manipulate hospital records efficiently, resulting in a 30% decrease in processing time.

In 2019, Shah worked as a Software Engineering Intern at VMware, where they developed algorithms to differentiate processes and group similar virtual machines with high accuracy. Shaival also collaborated with the DevOps team to automate information retrieval processes.

Shah started their career as a Machine Learning Engineer at FirstAlign, researching and studying financial trading algorithms. Shaival contributed to algorithm selection and evaluation. Shaival also had a summer internship at Softvan, focusing on real-time face recognition and building a surveillance system.

Additionally, Shah had a brief internship experience at Silverwing Technologies PVT LTD. in 2017.

Shaival Shah completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, from 2015 to 2019. Shaival then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Shah obtained various certifications including "Introduction to Data Science" and "Machine Learning with Python" from IBM Cognitive Class in February 2018, and "VMware Virtualisation" from Prakshal IT Academy in July 2017.
