Yanwei Ma, PhD

From 2015 to 2018, Yanwei Ma worked as a PhD candidate and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney, where they focused on bioprocessing, synthetic biology, and metabolic engineering. They gained experience in running fermentation at various scales and optimized vitamin K2 production for Sanitarium Health Food Company, resulting in a patented and published work. They also conducted gene manipulation in microorganisms such as E. coli, B. subtilis, and cyanobacteria for metabolic engineering purposes.

From 2015 to 2018, Yanwei Ma also worked as a Chemical Engineer in a joint PhD project with Sanitarium.
