Dr. Darrell Ward is a co-founder of ALL In Learning and a veteran educational technology pioneer, executive and entrepreneur. Darrell founded eInstruction Corporation in 1981 and led its growth to the number 1 company in student response systems in the education market as CEO from 1981 until 2008. Prior to founding eInstruction, Dr. Ward started the Computer Science program at the University of Mississippi, had faculty teaching and research positions at Texas A&M, The University of Texas System, and the University of North Texas. He has had consulting positions with Texas Instruments, the U.S. Civil Service Commission, General Dynamics, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dr. Ward has two patents pertaining to student assessment, student response pads, and teacher wireless chalkboards. Darrell has a PhD from Texas A&M University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa, both in Computer Science and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Baylor University. His leadership in technology and classroom assessment in the early 2000s pioneered the establishment of the market category of Student Response Systems (SRS). Currently, there are more than 10 million response units nationwide in classroom use and more than 20 different companies selling response units worldwide.
