Brian van Vuuren

Brian van Vuuren has extensive experience in software development and engineering, currently serving as a Software Development Manager at Allan Gray Proprietary Limited since January 2018, where previous roles included Technical Lead, Senior Developer, and Software Developer focusing on front-end development with technologies such as React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Prior to this, Brian was a Freelance Consultant at Decision Lab UK, specializing in simulation modeling using AnyLogic Simulation Software, and worked as a Researcher/Lecturer at Stellenbosch University, concentrating on analytics and agent-based simulation modeling within the Stellenbosch Unit for Operations Research in Engineering. Brian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Engineering/Simulation from Stellenbosch University, a Certificate in Management Essentials from Harvard Business School Online, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Stellenbosch University.
